Stye in My Eye in Shanghai: Day 2

Winner of "The Biggest Loser" today= ME! I went to bed last night at midnight and slept until 7:30 PM this evening, which means I did NOTHING for DAY 2 EXCEPT SLEEP! Katherine tried to ease my pain/shame/self-loathing by telling me it was a crappy weather day anyway. I still would have enjoyed wandering the streets in my pajama bottoms, but I guess I'll have to save that for another day. Tomorrow night, we are hitting the town for Girls' Night Out (I'll wear my fanciest trousers and perhaps an eye patch), Saturday we have been invited to a party at the Dutch Consulate (maybe I should save my fanciest trousers for that event instead...), Sunday we are checking out the Marriage Market where parents post profiles of their daughters to try to land them a man, so that should be interesting. Let's hope I can actually sleep tonight so I can be awake, alert, and vertical for the rest of my visit!
